Igor Myasnikov aka Terror[east] got involved in electronic music in 2006 after moving to the city of Vyborg, Russia. He was hanging around with a group of local DJs, which introducing him in to the fields of Drum and Bass.
Because there were always a passion to create something own, his friends learned him to work with several audio software and for a few years he tried to guide himself in to that culture.
First tunes were just like all the first tunes of a provincial Drum & Bass producer. An ordinary shit, which could listen only by a junkie or some violent, fucked up, mentally ill mind. But it has certainly something cruel in its and in his school days he mostly liked the fast and hard sound of hard rock/punk and that has also its influences.
Igor used several nicknames at the beginning, but all of them were temporary. After some private kind events in his live(Read: women!), Terror[east] moved out from the shadow. You know, building and ruining our state like fucking Lego!
So, this name express all the things needed. It is hard to explain what it means; a tangle of emotions, an image of the most respected in him or in one word - Fear. Music has gained the deepness and covert meaning. Some people found an echo in it.
Nowadays Terror[east] has left behind his borders, embodying the limits and barriers.
2009-2011 was mainly full time work, filled with music and live performances.
The first great release "Emokillers LP" took its place by Italian label called SCPTX Recordings, which unfortunately no longer exist. It was a huge album of various artists and containing even 2 tunes of mine.
Various of his hardest tracks were released by Culture Assault Recordings named "Domination EP", by Suspect Device Recordings where released "No Tomorrow EP" and not less heavy "Violence EP" and "Specnaz EP? by Darkbox Recordings. All those are Italian labels, still releasing great electronic stuff.
In 2011 Igor and his family moved to Moscow, the capital of motherfucking Russia. After a year living there he went to serve in armed forces. So Igor was absent for a while.
least half of his tracks heave produced together with his mate TRN18 from Saint-Petersburg. This guy has definitely always great ideas. The first tune they?ve made together were ?The Last Day?. Igor learned so much from him! It were awesome times when they?ve played together on several events in Saint Petersburg. Afterwards he will say: "Thanks" many times, buddy!
C.V.I. is Igor?s air soft team mate from Vyborg. Igor always loved his technoid sounds, and always attend on their sets back in the days. After so long time they?ve finally collabs and mixed his techno-dnb repeats with some sick hardstep loops from Terror[east]. So, ?Specnaz? and ?Emission? came on light. Work is still in progress by the way. Be prepared for some more collaboration.
There also are a few genius producers and friends abroad that Igor worked with, such as T-Psy and Beasty Noize's crew, YmB (Netherlands), Darius Proton Kid (Romania) and Myles Diverge (USA). He always playing their tunes. None of his sets without them!
And then: Igor discovered Ambient music! When he?s Playing "Painkiller" and "Portal", he suddenly felt into the atmosphere, like he?s right in the game and the reason was that music. Igor realized that this is the highest deepness, where you can fall to. A long time he was afraid to try himself in producing such a genius genre. It always being in his Drum & Bass tunes, but then it just started to burst out of him by itself. Pure, without anything less. It reflects the inner worlds, giving a freedom and changing the state of mind it most. Nothing can do better, so this is his favorite kind of music at the moment.
Russia?s free net label "Free BPM Interactive Music Organization" involved in Ambient as well. They have often, in their apartment on the background, an ambient radio turned on.
They helped Igor with combining the ambient tunes with Drum & Bass in one release. The owner of the label, Yuri MJ Free, dig it as well as he do. So they made "Forgive Me LP". It wasn?t a usual product. It consists of 4 Drum ?n? Bass and 4 Dark Ambient tunes. Half to half. This release were very important for Igor, he would say it was the main. Today its waiting for another incoming LP. Working name ?Fly Fall?. Same conception, but another theme. Most important for Igor now is that release. Aim your sights on Free BPM Recordings. They will drop it very soon!
